【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcovershigh-strengthlow-alloystructuralsteelshapesinGrades50[345],60[415],65[450]and70[485],producedbythequenchingandself-temperingprocess(QST).Theshapesareintendedforriveted,boltedorweldedconstructionofbridges,buildingsandotherstructures.1.2TheQSTprocessconsistsofinlineheattreatmentandcoolingratecontrolswhichresultinmechanicalpropertiesinthefinishedconditionthatareequivalenttothoseattainedusingheattreatingprocesseswhichentailreheatingafterrolling.AdescriptionoftheQSTprocessisgiveninAppendixX1.1.3DuetotheinherentcharacteristicsoftheQSTprocess,theshapesshallnotbeformedandpostweldheattreatedattemperaturesexceeding1100176;F[600176;C].1.4Whenthesteelistobewelded,itispresupposedthataweldingproceduresuitableforthegradeofsteelandintendeduseorservicewillbeutilized.SeeAppendixX3ofSpecificationA6/A6Mforinformationonweldability.1.5Thevaluesstatedineitherinch-poundunitsorSIunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Withinthetext,theSIunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththisspecification.
