【摘要】:Theserequirementscoverelectricallyoperatedvalvesforinstallationanduseinhazardous(classified)locations,ClassI,Division1,GroupsA,B,C,andD,andClassII,Division1,GroupsE,F,andG,inaccordancewiththeNationalElectricalCode,NFPA70.Theserequirementsalsocoverexplosion-proofelectricalequipmentforinstallationanduseinClassI,Zone1,GroupsIIA,IIB,IIBplusHydrogen,andIIChazardous(classified)locations.Therequirementsinthisstandardalsoapplytomotor-operatedvalvesandtomagnetically-operateddevicessuchassolenoidsforuseinhazardous(classified)locations,ClassI,Division1,GroupsA,B,C,andD,andClassII,Division1,GroupsE,F,andG.Theserequirementscoverproductsforuseonlyunderthefollowingatmosphericconditions:a)Aminimumambienttemperatureofminus70?C(minus94?F),b)Anoxygenconcentrationnotgreaterthan21percentbyvolume,andc)Anominalbarometricpressureofoneatmosphere.Theserequirementsdonotcovervalvesforafluid-powersystem,whichisasystemthattransmitsandcontrolspowerthroughuseofapressurizedfluidwithinanenclosedcircuit.Aproductthatcontainsfeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsnewordifferentfromthosecoveredbytherequirementsinthisstandard,andthatinvolvesariskoffire,electricshock,orinjurytopersonsshallbeevaluatedusingtheappropriateadditionalcomponentandend-productrequirementsasdeterminednecessarytomaintaintheacceptablelevelofsafetyasoriginallyanticipatedbytheintentofthisstandard.Aproductwhosefeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsconflictwithspecificrequirementsorprovisionsofthisstandardcannotbejudgedtocomplywiththisstandard.Whereconsideredappropriate,revisionofrequirementsshallbeproposedandadoptedinconformancewiththemethodsemployedfordevelopment,revision,andimplementationofthisstandard.
